The Oakville Heritage Trails is a Millennium Partnership led by the Town of Oakville and the Community Foundation of Oakville.

The Heritage Trails Project, an outcome of this partnership, began in 1999 to plan and develop a network of Heritage Trails that connected all parts of the community. This network connects the Bronte, Sixteen Mile and Joshua's Creek Trails with the Waterfront Trail in the south and the East- West trail along the pipeline corridor in the north.

The network includes pavilions, information columns and trail signage that together with the web site tells the natural, human and built heritage story of our town.

Information sites will be located along the Heritage Trails. The first of these are located in this "Trafalgar Link" section of the Sixteen Mile Creek Trail. Trail Guides on the Heritage Trail - 16 Mile Creek - are available at the Town Hall or at the Oakville Public Library branches. This site is under development. More information will be added as the project develops.
