About Oakville Trails

Explore Oakville's Trails
The Oakville Trails System is comprised of more than one-hundred trails, and includes the Heritage Trails system.  When completed, the Explore Oakville's Trails section of this website will provide an alphabetical listing of all the trails, with images and location descriptions for each.

Heritage Trails
The Heritage Trail system was developed in 2000 as a Millenium Partnership led by the Community Foundation of Oakville and the Town of Oakville.  The 57-kilometre system is comprised of five unique trails that feature several Information Stations describing Oakville's rich heritage.  The Heritage Trails section of this website showcases the five trails which make up the Heritage Trail system, and includes images, location descriptions, and sample hiking route distances.

Information Stations
The Information Stations featured across the Heritage Trail system provide a history of the Town of Oakville.  The Information Stations section of this website showcases the historical information provided at each Information Station, as well as image galleries and related essays.

Adopt-a-Trail
The Adopt-a-Trail program offers opportunities for you or your organization to make a contribution to the community and maintain the beauty of our Town.
